Woody is about to bring it again.

Am I the only one excited about this movie?

Hee Hee.

TRON ME, PLEASE.

Is anyone else as excited as I am about the Tron remake? Daft Punk soundtrack and what appears to be a massive special effects budget… how can it fail?

How about a hat tip to the original? Watch the trailer from 1982. We’ve come a long way, folks:

Coppola Returns!

Here’s the trailer for Sofia Coppola’s new film, Somewhere. Looks kind of like a Junior Lost in Translation, but in a good way. Bonus: the trailer features one of my favorite newer Phoenix songs, and what I’m thinking is a Little Joy cover of the Strokes, “You Only Live Once.” Double whammy!

So, I wasn’t the only one…

Let me first say, that I really enjoyed Avatar aaand will most likely see it again. However, I could not help but think about Fern Gully throughout the whole movie and maybe this is why, below is a little mash up video (SPOILER ALERT… sort of). By the way, I still have Fern Gully on VHS if anyone wants to borrow it.

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure meets Back to the Future meets Old School meets all I’ve ever wanted and more…

Beware. This makes Dumb and Dumber look like No Country for Old Men.

Hold the Phone – MYSTERY TEAM EXTENSION

I know I just posted about this, but I wanted to let everyone know that Mystery Team has just been extended at the Quad Cinema until next Thursday, Dec. 17th. Also, DERRICK COMEDY will be at all evening shows this weekend for Q&A and all that jazz.

Since I’m creating a separate post here, I thought I’d take this opportunity to share another version of the trailer with you, and a picture of a donkey:

It’s the new ‘Family Stone’

I’m putting my vote in now, Everybody’s Fine will be the new must-see family Holiday movie. There’s one every year and I’m going all in that this is gonna be it.

A Single Man

Not Friday, but whatever. This trailer for Tom Ford’s first film, A Single Man could just go ahead and be the whole movie. It’s gorgeous. Major Julianne Moore babe alert, the kid from About a Boy, Colin Firth and his erotic sweaters kissing a man–no dialogue necessary. Tom Ford needs to stop being the ultimate jack-of-all-trades.

District 9

District 9 opens today. Anyone else as psyched as I am? The movie is based on this short film by Neill Blomkamp.

After you see it, post your review under comments. We should discuss this one.

(I know, I know. I’ve reached my limit of blosts today. This my last one, I promise. Have a great weekend, everyone.)
