TGIF…FRSPL

Thank-God-I-Finally-Found-Richard-Simmons’-Personal-Letterhead!

SO Fresh!

Check out these classic old Seventeen covers I stumbled upon. I kid you not, I owned each one of these at one point. They lived in a stack directly next to my stack of YM issues. Glory days!

Take a look through the headlines. They remind me of such important pre-teen questions as, “Who will inherit Leo’s throne”?? And, “The sorta boyfriend: do you have one?!” Well, do you!? (I didn’t).

They also tackled such serious issues as “What it’s like to be the fat girl” and “i hate my sister!” Seventeen really wasn’t afraid to go rogue back then. Tough issues, tough answers.

Life Stuff

Like Sue-Ellen Crandell, fake it til ya make it, folks!

“We’re having New Age fun with a Vintage feel!”

Summertime Beach Tunes

Remember MTV’s beach house? Actually maybe they still have it, but no way is it as good as it was in the 90s.

This wasn’t at the beach house, but it’s still a true gem: Billy Corgan (with hair) interviewing (9-year-old-Elizabeth’s favorite) D’Arcy! She was so damn cool.

….scratches head….

My boss just emailed out this awesomely nonsensical piece of youtube cinema. I can’t even think of how to title this post, it is that random. But if I had to, maybe I’d call this post: “Smokey Jet Broken Wear Fiyah Bress” or even “I see that random Audrey Hepburn poster in your room”?

Nerd Alert: I just got actual chills watching this.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 trailer. Who’s ready?!

Stoked on Summer.

A few favorites from an epic summertime imagery post by Secret Forts. Can’t help but share, they warm my summertime heart! Listen to this while you scroll.

God’s gotta crack that whip, alright.

Director: “Ok. Adam? If you could just remove that ascot and give us one more take? Yea, that might work better. Aaaand, action!”

Oof. This guy even has a wedding ring on. Look’s like someone’s got faith-a-faith-a-faith!

THIS was my Jam.

Oh holy crap. I’ve actually been thinking about (my personal) seminal favorite video game, Toe Jam and Earl lately, and then I find this!

Now let’s take another trip down memory lane and revisit their highly funky, toe-tapping (remember Earl’s toe-tap and eyebrow-lift?) intro.  Seinfeld beats got nooothin on this intro:

All this excitement led me to revisit my second favorite Sega jam, Streets of Rage 2! Totally forgot about this cover. Blaze’s rack was not very kid-friendly. Or was it?
